Through training, monitoring and good working practice with suppliers, we follow an effective environmental management system that improves resource efficiency, reduces waste and drives down costs.
ISO 14001, as with other ISO 14000 standards, is voluntary (IISD 2010), with its main aim to assist companies in continually improving their environmental performance, whilst complying with any applicable legislation. Organizations are responsible for setting their own targets and performance measures, with the standard serving to assist them in meeting objectives and goals and the subsequent monitoring and measurement of these (IISD 2010).
Paper is recycled and other packaging is salvaged and reused. we are always looking to minimise usage in administration. Customers are also involved in logistical recycling and minimising transportation. This coupled with £1,000,000 investment in state of the art machinery will see us become market leaders when it comes to energy saving production within our field. With the investment in new technology, Acoustafoam will eliminate more than 50 tonnes of solvents from our raw material usage this year.
