We’ve had a lovely project come in for a company who will be supplying these large scale leaves. Although they haven’t been printed yet, we thought we’d show some behind the scenes preparation in Photoshop.
First we took our leaf image (from Pixabay) and did some editing to make it suitable for large scale printing. We also needed to change the colour as the client wanted one green leaf and one brown leaf in a specific shade. A shadow was added in preparation for the .dfx file and then saved as a .jpeg. Once the outline is ready the .dfx file will be brought back into Photoshop. Further editing will be required so that both images match exactly and then it will be ready for printing on our melamine foam. We can’t wait to see how these are going to turn out and hopefully will have some photos next week.
